Explore what membership at Cornerstone means. In this two-hour class, you’ll meet our pastors, hear the story, mission, vision, and values of Cornerstone, and learn what it means to follow Jesus together as part of a local church community.

Membership at Cornerstone is about more than Sunday morning attendance. It is a commitment to live as disciples of Jesus, care for one another, and participate in God’s mission in the world as a community shaped by Scripture and empowered by the Holy Spirit.

This class is the second step in becoming a member at Cornerstone:

  1. Believer’s Baptism: for those who have not yet been baptized upon their personal profession of faith in Jesus Christ
  2. Membership Class: learning the story of Cornerstone
  3. Conversation with Two Elders: an opportunity to hear your story and answer questions
  4. Welcoming and Commissioning: a public welcome and prayer during a Sunday gathering

Church membership is a meaningful commitment to a local body of believers who are seeking to follow Jesus together. It is a place of belonging, encouragement, accountability, and shared mission.

Because we understand baptism to be a believer’s personal response of faith and commitment to follow Jesus, those who were baptized as infants are invited to to attend our Baptism Class first and consider receiving believer’s baptism before becoming members at Cornerstone.
